When children bloom,

societies flourish.

Platform for Social Impact leverages a wide range of projects, strategies, and alliances to invest in communities in Puerto Rico, so children have access to development, well-being, and opportunities to succeed.

By social innovation, we refer to projects and initiatives that build solutions for issues of poverty, inequality, and diversity by using creative approaches either entrepreneurial, cultural, or any other approach.

OUR GOAL

Child poverty is the most visible sign of a society’s failure to address the needs and aspirations of its people – and a real menace to a country’s capacity for future wealth and development. Inadequate health services, lack of access to education, violent environments, among other indicators, point not only to unacceptable life conditions for children but also to a bleak future for generations to come.

Our goal is to change these conditions in Puerto Rico, so children and their families have the opportunities they deserve for wellbeing, economic security, education, and a healthy environment.

A prosper and stable society is only possible if all its members have the opportunities they deserve – particularly its children.

Social indicators for children’s health and safety have direct impact in a country’s productivity levels, technological achievements, cultural wealth, and general development.

WHEN CHILDREN BLOOM, SOCIETIES FLOURISH.

If we want development for Puerto Rico, including a strong economy and lively society, we have to significantly reduce child poverty.

HOW

The Platform for Social Impact (PSI) is a 501(c)(3) umbrella organization focused on family economic mobility in Puerto Rico. Our movement includes organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR), the Youth Development Institute (YDI), Vimenti, Project Makers, and Vidalus. Together we are a network of 600+ employees across 12 sites, 5 entities, and 1,000+ volunteer advocates. The federal advocacy work led by YDI alone has resulted in $2.5B deployed as direct payments to 200K+ families over the past two year.

PSI’s strategic goals are predicated on leveraging capital, along with strategic policy, program, and private capital partners, to blanket the island with the next generation of anti-poverty programs at scale.

Let’s make this happen!

Your support is key to the advancement of PSI's goals.
