Project Makers will be a space for existing and new* ideas and businesses of low-income individuals with entrepreneurs committed to alleviating poverty with new products and services — thus facilitating the emergence of need-centered business innovations. Industry sectors will reflect and respond to the common needs of the community; for example, fintech for banking and financial literacy, accessible legal aid, human-centered technology, health, agriculture, education and others.

A space to provide training, internships and job placement opportunities to community residents, where they can improve their skills and develop the tools they need for on-the-job success. The program will use a sector-based approach, focusing on three main industries: health, tourism and hospitality.
